Episode 1: LEBO - Inspired By the Beat

Miami-based artist LEBO has built a career on translating the musical to the visual. LEBO's work - boldly colored images influenced by his Cuban-American heritage and his love of cartoons - often directly channels the musical experience both in its content and its style. In fact, it's not unusual for LEBO to create one of his explosive works - whether a canvas or a building-sized mural - in the middle of a live jam with The Beastie Boys or Thievery Corporation. No matter how big the act, LEBO's brushstrokes make a strong claim on audience's attention.

So it was no surprise when the folks at Gibson Guitar needed a visual style for their Miami Entertainment Relations Showroom, they looked no further than LEBO. In Episode 1: LEBO - Inspired By the Beat, the rising star will take us around his hometown, show us highlights of the iconic Gibson HQ, and - if we're lucky - he may even create something new while a few friends keep the beat.
